Evaluating Innovation Capability in Banking Under Uncertainty

The evaluation of innovation capability (IC) plays a key role in an age keen competition driven by modern technologies, since it enables organizations to review their management process and adjust corresponding policies. Moreover, the IC is, fact, multicriteria with high uncertainty, market environments competitors’ performance are both dynamic environment. Therefore, under uncertainty is vital organizations. This study proposes new integrated method for banking combining analytic hierarchy (AHP) evidential reasoning (ER) approach terms Dempster–Shafer theory evidence. Three Vietnamese banks were used as case demonstrate applicability validity proposed method. Experts banking-related fields invited determine relative importance weights critical practices (CIMPs) sub-CIMPs using AHP score maturity levels at evaluated banks. ER was then applied generate aggregated assessments representing ICs that finally ranking IC.
